League of Legends is a 5 on 5 team-oriented strategy game, the goal is to work together with your teammates to bring down the enemy nexus located in the middle of their base before your opponents take down yours.
Draws will be available one week prior to the competition
Teams will be required to register a minimum squad of 5 players to participate at the Regional Tournaments. For teams to avoid a forfeit fine they will be required to field 5 players at the start of their scheduled game. Universities are limited to one team per their respective regions similar to Regional Unigames formats. Teams must contact their sports officer to be able to register into the Oceanic University League of Legends Championship.
Students will be required to meet AUS Eligibility Guidelines to be able to represent their university in the Oceanic University League of Legends Championship
League of Legends is a qualification e-sport for the Oceanic University Championships.
Open of registrations: Monday 12 July
Close of registrations: Friday 21 July
Teams will face off against others in their region.

Week 1 - July 29th/30th
Every region will play double round robin, depending on the number of teams there could be two groups in the region.
e.g. WA (smaller region) and QLD (bigger region)
All teams in WA will be put in 1 group and face off against each other twice.
Teams in QLD will be split into 2 groups and face off against teams in the same group twice.
Week 2 - August 5th/6th
Top 4 teams from the group stage will play off in a single elimination best of 3 series
- If there were two groups during the group stage it would be the top 2 teams from each group (1st from group a vs 2nd from group b)
E.g. WA (smaller region) and QLD (bigger region)
Top 4 teams in WA would go into play offs. 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd. Each set would be best of 3
Top 2 teams in each QLD group would go into play offs. Group A 1st vs Group B 2nd, Group B 1st vs Group A 2nd. Each set would be best of 3.
Nationals (Played across 2 weekends)
Top teams from each region will face off
Week 1 - August 12th/13th
Top team from each region (5) will play in double round robin format
e.g. 1 team from each region (Eastern, Northern, Southern, Wildcard, Western) will play against each other twice.
Top team from this stage would go automatically into the Grand Finals
Week 2 - August 19th/20th
All teams will proceed into gauntlet format based on seeding - best of 3
e.g. All teams except 1st seed will proceed to gauntlet setting based on their seeding from the double round robin.
